[Wet Campus] : Rice police are pretty good about letting the students handle the alcohol policy on their own, but they will get involved if there's too much noise or drunken carousing and someone complains.

[Fondren Library] : Fondren library's study rooms are superb, until you get to the fourth floor. Then, it's basically a maze, and you can only hope that you find your room among the stacks. However, almost every other floor in the library is quiet, clean, and quite pretty.

[For Nerds, by Nerds] : Rice is simply perfection. Between the awesome o-week and party themes and the wonderful cultures that develop at each residential college and the excellent academics, there's no way Rice can go wrong.

[Amazing, of Course] : The classes are usually small, the professors range from super helpful to super harsh, and the workload is a doozy - but why would you be at Rice if you didn't expect to work hard for it?

[Humidity] : The humidity is as bad as it gets, but that really only lasts for about a month at the beginning of the year. The rest of the year, you can wear shorts while your friends at New England colleges are shoveling their way to classes!

[Good for the Most Part] : Rice really tries to increase its diversity, but sometimes it is hard to see it. There is a good range of all kinds of races, backgrounds, and beliefs. It's very easy to find a club or organization supporting anything you're looking for - ethnic student associations, LGBT support, political groups. The only thing is, sometimes students of particular races can be a little cliquey, especially the foreign exchange students. I honestly do not understand why this is, because the community is more welcoming than anywhere else I've been. Most circles of friends are very diverse in themselves. However, I admit that there are two predominant groups: Asians and white Texans.
